You begin as an Art Student, then choose from two branches. Once youâve decided on your branch, there are 8 levels each, as follows:
Tattooist Branch
Tattoo Parlor Assistant
Youâve secured your first real paying position in the tattoo business! Youâll be booking clients in for their appointments, running over aftercare with them, and cleaning the studio.
Tattoo Designer
The Tattooists have noticed you doodling away behind your desk, and clients have even been requesting some of your designs! Now you get to leave the appointment booking to someone else, and bring your clients dreams to ink!
Tattoo Letterer
Youâve gotten really good at designing tattoos, and now youâre working on your scripting. Learn to freehand in all different styles, from Old School, to fancy scripts! No âragretsâ!
Apprentice Tattooist
Itâs time to ink something real. Well, almost. Youâll be practising on faux skin for now, before you move onto real Sims, but itâs a start. The Head Tattooist has taken you under her wing, and will be instructing you.
Color Tattooist
Youâve done a few black ink tattoos, and are now practising with color, learning how to make a tattoo really stand out. In a good way, of course!
Tattoo Cover-Up Specialist
Wow, someone REALLY messed this one up. Poor Don Lothario has just turned up with the wrong girlâs name on his arm. Itâs up to you to put it right. Is that D-I-N-A, or N-I-N-A?
Cosmetic Tattooist
Your attention to detail is absolutely flawless, so youâve decided to move on to more intricate tattoos, providing your clients with a permanent makeup service! Now theyâll never have to do their eyebrows again!

Body Piercing Branch
Piercing Kiosk Assistant
The local mall is hiring, and youâve taken your first paying position as a Piercing Kiosk Attendant. Youâll be helping customers choose their first earrings, and learning all about ear piercing and hygiene practices.
Piercing Studio Assistant
You want to learn to pierce more than just ears, so youâve secured yourself a job at a real piercing studio. As their assistant, youâll be making appointments for clients, and answering their questions regarding aftercare, and what to expect during their visit.
Piercing Apprentice
You know the basics of piercing from your first job, but now youâll be learning more complex piercings. Try not to miss!
Junior Piercer
You can be left alone now to complete simple appointments, and youâre getting really good. Everyone feels at ease when youâre wielding a gun and waving it in their general direction!
Experienced Body Piercer
Your skills are honed, and you can pierce almost anything. Daith, Helix, Navel? Bring it on!
Body Modification Specialist
Now youâre learning how to do body modifications, and clients are flocking to you for subdermal implants, tongue splitting and Plumbob enhancements. Oh my!
Head Body Piercer
Now youâre the Head Body Piercer, youâll be training the newbies and juggling a large waiting list. Everyone wants to be pierced or modified by you!
Piercing Studio Owner
An opportunity to purchase the studio itself arose, and you decided to go for it! Now youâre the proud owner of your very own piercing studio, and you have to make sure itâs successful!
