I think I did everything well. What could the problem be?
So I’ve bought the Sims 4, I’ve installed it, everything went well. Then I found out (lol, today) that there are mods and custom contents. I started to search and I found a lot pretty stuff (like this heels, I love it). I wanted to use them so I read a lot of pages about it, and it seemed like it’s easy: I should only put the .package files to the folder “Mods”. Okay, I did that. But then when I started the game, it said something like “try to re-install the game: some required game data missing”. When I put the .package files to an other folder (still in the Sims 4 folder), the game works, though it still doesn’t show the mods and custom contents. What should I do? 🙁
*Sorry, it was long…*
Are the .package files uncompressed (no zip or rar)?
Is the resource.cfg located in your Mods folder?
Do a G. search for “how to install sims 4 custom content” and you’ll find a lot of info, try to read from multiple sources…
Yes, everything’s .package in that folder, except of the Resource.cfg file. I read everything already but all of them just said that move all the downloaded .package files to the Mods folder, and click on the square before the “Script Mod” text in the game, then everything should be fine. Well, it isn’t but looks like no one can help me. Sorry for stalling your time.
OH, SORRY! I figured it out, it all was because of a single – f… – pink nail polish! I’m so, so, so sorry (and ashamed) for shalling for your time and thanks for your immediately help! 🙂
