Join the exciting career path of Meteorology, which is the study of the atmosphere. As a Meteorologist, you’ll use science and math to understand and predict weather and climate. You’ll also study how the atmospheric and weather conditions affect the earth and its Sim inhabitants. There are 10 levels as follows:
Storm Chaser
You’ve got a video camera and appetite for thunderstorms, so chase those tornadoes! Just don’t go INTO the tornado.
Weather Reporter
As a Weather Reporter, you’ll be working on the field in all conditions, reporting it as it happens!
Weather Forecaster
Now you’re warm and dry in the studio, you can put your meteorology knowledge to good use, predicting weather patterns on TV.
Climatologist
As a Climatologist, you’ll study historical climate patterns to understand long-term weather patterns and predict future climatic shifts.
Industrial Meteorologist
Now you’re an Industrial Meteorologist, you’ll help companies make decisions in the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns based on the weather.
Atmospheric Researcher
Atmospheric Researchers study the workings of the atmosphere to better understand how it works, and how it’s interconnected with our planet’s waters.
Military Meteorologist
Now you’re a Military Meteorologist, you’ll look at sea conditions, pressure, wind speed and launch weather balloons, to help with the planning of military operations.
Hurricane Hunter
You’re no longer a hobbyist storm chaser, but a highly skilled Hurricane Hunter. Now you work with the Air Force, in the only operational unit in the world flying weather reconnaissance on a routine basis.
Forensic Meteorologist
As a Forensic Meteorologist, you’ll investigate and provide information on weather conditions at specific moments, providing insight into how weather may have played a role in a traffic accident, fire, or other event. You may even have to testify in court!
Environmental Scientist
At the top of the Meteorological career ladder, you’ll now study nature to monitor and discover potential threats to natural resources and populations. You’ll taking samples of air, water and other natural substances to identify harmful threats or changing conditions.
