Simply put this is a rabbit-hole career, with added interactions. It’s available for young adults, adults, and elders. You have 4 general levels that resemble university and on the last one, you will receive a degree in your household inventory (now the degree is nothing fancy, it’s just a redone of the Sims degrees, but I thought it would be a nice touch).
