60 years ago, Charlie and Peggy Ruxpin owned a thriving pet food business, making it their mission to ensure cats and dogs everywhere were well fed, the main ingredient – love. Five years after Charlie sadly passed away, Peggy also passed, leaving their main pet food warehouse empty. Always with the good of the community in their hearts, Charlie and Peggy left instructions that the warehouse be used as a communal residential space, bringing people together to work, play, and live. One year on since Peggy’s passing, Ruxpin Pet Foods is a vibrant space with long-term residents and people who come and go alike. With an emphasis on gardening and craft, this is a building that eats, lives, and breathes the love and hope Charlie and Peggy embodied.
