This a rabbit hole career for those of you that would like a guaranteed paying job. You can supplement your income with the new media production items from Get Famous, if you have it, but that EP isnât required for this career. I will update it with the Media Production Skill once itâs added to the creator tool. There are 10 levels, available, as follows:
Freelance Music Producer
Started at the bottom, now youâre here. Actually, youâre still kind of at the bottom, but youâre on the ladder now! Create and mix from home, using your own equipment, and earn your §âs that way! In the meantime, come on down to your local recording studio and weâll throw some quick cash your way for helping fine tune all the equipment.
Community Sound Engineer
As a Sound Engineer, itâs your responsibility to assemble, operate and maintain the technical equipment used to record, amplify, enhance, mix or reproduce sound. For now, youâll be working in churches, event halls and with local businesses, but itâs a great start!
Recording Engineer
Recording Engineers shape the sound of an album, and youâll record edit, and mix sound so it, you know, sounds good! In many studios, the Recording Engineer is also the Producer, overseeing both artistic and technical elements of the recording session. But donât get too big for your boots; youâre not a Producer YET!
Artist & Repertoire Representative
Now youâre an AR Rep, youâll find yourself busy scoping out and hiring local talent. Once youâve actually found some talent (and good luck with that!) you may then play an active role in ensuring that they record an album!
Production Assistant
Congratulations on your promotion to Production Assistant! Assisting the music team, this role will include liaising with our world-class team of composers, helping to manage our assets (music and artwork) and all other aspects of the creation of our production music catalogue from the inception of an album to its international distribution! Del Sol Valley, here we come!
Entrepreneur Music Producer
Now youâve really got some skills and experience under your belt, you can start to build a name for yourself, and manage all areas of media production by yourself. You go!
App Sound Designer
Itâs time to really get your name out there and recognized in the music industry. Itâs a tough business to crack, but now your sounds are starting to be heard in everyday apps and games, thereâs no stopping your success!
Studio Engineer
Congratulations on your move up to Studio Engineer! Youâll work with the technical aspects of sound during the processes of recording, mixing, and reproduction. Youâll even assist record producers and musicians to help give their work the sound they are hoping to achieve, so be ready to mix with the rich and famous. Literally!
Music Consultant
Now you have experience in most areas of media production, youâve been promoted to Music Production. Youâre the one that clients and artists will come to for advice and information, and help to move their careers forward!
Professional Music Producer
Youâre now the project master, and can oversee every aspect of music production! Youâre musically fluent and can make just about anyone sound good! Even YOU sound good singing in the shower with the right acoustics!
